Thank you to all the ex-pupils who made the journey to Hilden Grange on a very hot summer's afternoon to mark John Withers' retirement after 34 years of outstanding service at the school, including 29 as Headmaster. It was really wonderful to see everyone reminicise about their school days, mark upon the changes to the school and catch up with old friends.
It was a lovely occasion, marked by warm, heartfelt speeches and musical entertainment provided by past and current pupils. Although some pupils may have seen a school that has changed almost beyond compare since their own school days, the family atmosphere and all that Hilden Grange stands for would have been instantly recognisable.
